38 Asians Complete Programs under Japan-IMF Asia Scholarship
The 2020 batch of Asian officials completing graduate programs under the Japan-IMF Scholarship Program for Asia (JISPA) celebrated on June 23 their achievements at a virtual farewell event.
This year, 38 young officials from 16 Asian countries completed their master's or PhD programs at JISPA partner universities in Japan, and showcased their studies at a thesis presentation event prior to the ceremony.
During the ceremony, Shagufta Iqbal, one of the graduating officials, said: “I want to thank the IMF for allowing us to experience the realm of knowledge within the diversified culture and discover Japan to learn the most effective techniques,” The graduates will join nearly 800 alumni from 24 countries to help develop their economies.
