Invitation of Tender

Tender for the Macroeconomic Seminar Management

As the IMF’s window to the Asia and Pacific Region, the IMF Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (OAP) assists in monitoring economic and financial developments in the region as well as progress in regional cooperation and integration. In addition, OAP is engaged in sustaining capacity building activities through regional seminars, with increasing focus on post crisis responses. As part of this effort, OAP will organize a series of one-to-two day joint seminars with the University at least twice a year starting in 2012 for three years, subject to an annual budget approval by the Japanese Government.

OAP is inviting graduate schools of Japanese universities interested in managing the seminar series to submit proposals. Around 20-25 senior government officials are expected to participate in the seminars. The seminars should be conducted in English and cover financial sector and macroeconomics topics, including international and public finance. It is expected that the first seminar will be held no later than November 2012.

The document of the Terms of Reference is attached. Interested universities are invited to submit a full application to the address below by email no later than January 31, 2012. The selection of the university will be made by the end of February 2012.
