Tidiane Kinda is Deputy Division Chief in the IMF’s Asia Pacific Department, mission chief for the Maldives and deputy mission chief for Singapore. Previously, he was mission chief for Palau, Assistant to the Director, and senior desk on Indonesia. Since joining the IMF in 2009, he also worked in the African Department and the Fiscal Affairs Department, including on advanced, emerging, low-income, and fragile countries (Euro Area, Canada, Croatia, Peru, Moldova, Chad, and Mali), and published widely on a variety of topics. His work experience prior to the IMF includes the World Bank’s Research Department. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from CERDI-University of Auvergne in France.
