Serpil Bouza is a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund and is currently working in the Middle East and Central Asia Department (MCD). Prior to joining the department, she has held various positions at the Fund including as an Advisor to the IMF Managing Director and as an Economist in the Strategy, Policy and Review (SPR) and in the Asia Pacific Departments (APD). She has worked on a wide range of countries such as Jordan, Serbia, Iceland, Kenya, Bangladesh, Fiji and Tuvalu since joining the Fund in 2010. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Washington in Seattle.
