Nan Li is a senior economist in the IMF’s African Department and an associate editor of the IMF Economic Review. Her research interests are in the areas of international finance, trade, and economic growth. She previously worked in the IMF’s Research Department and the Institute for Capacity Development, and was an assistant professor at the Ohio State University. She has published in various academic journals and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford.
