Moustapha Mbohou Mama is an economist covering Senegal in the IMF’s African Department. Since joining the IMF in 2020 he has worked in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department. Prior to joining the Fund, he started his career in 2012 as an economist at the Central Bank of Central African States (BEAC), where he extensively worked on monetary policy implementation, financial stability issues and domestic debt market development. His research interests include macro-financial macroeconomics, monetary policy, macroprudential policy, local currency debt market development, and fiscal policy.
