Li Liu

Li Liu is a Senior Economist in the Fiscal Affairs Department of the International Monetary Fund. She leads capacity development missions, participates in economic surveillance and program work, and undertakes research in fiscal and tax policy. Before joining the IMF Li was a senior research fellow at the Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation. Li has published extensively in leading academic journals, including in the Review of Economics and Statistics, the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy and Journal of Public Economics. Li is a Board member of the National Tax Association in the US and an International Research Fellow at Oxford University. She has a Ph.D. in Economics from Rutgers University.
