Diego Cerdeiro is deputy unit chief in the Regional Studies unit of the IMF’s European department. He has also worked in the Asia and Pacific, Western Hemisphere, and Strategy and Policy Review departments of the Fund, covering countries including China, Honduras, and the U.S., and leading missions to Tuvalu. He has done research on international macroeconomics, international trade, business dynamism, and network theory. He obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge.
