New Partnership Universities
Following the recommendations made by the June 2009 JISPA review committee, the IMF Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (OAP) convened a tender committee to select new partnership universities. The following four universities were selected as the partnership universities for the next phase starting from September/October 2011:
National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS)
Macroeconomic Policy Program (one year program) Master of Public Policy Macroeconomic Policy Program (two year program) Master of Arts in Public Economics
Hitotsubashi University
Asian Public Policy Program (two year program) Master of Public Policy
International University of Japan
Macroeconomic Policy Program (two year program) Master of Arts in Economics
University of Tokyo
International Program/Master of Public Policy (two year program) Master of Public Policy
To meet changing needs of macroeconomic management agencies, all the selected universities have strong macroeconomic-oriented components with emphasis on areas in: (1) macroeconomic policy formulation; (2) central banking and monetary policy; and (3) financial markets and institutions.
These new partnership universities will accept scholars from the 2011-2012 academic year, with the application process starting in late September 2010 (the application deadline is December 10, 2010).
