On the occasion of his visit to Tokyo, Mr. Naoyuki Shinohara , Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), gave a seminar to the scholars of the Japan –IMF Scholarship Program for Asia (JISPA). This was one of several occasional seminars organized for the JISPA scholars, to help them deepen their understanding of current policy issues. The seminar was hosted by the IMF Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (OAP) in Tokyo, Japan.

Mr. Shinohara gave a presentation on the “IMF Role during the Global Financial Crisis and the Recovery”. Following his presentation, Mr. Shinohara had very active discussions with the scholars. The scholars greatly appreciated Mr. Shinohara’s presentation and the opportunity to interact directly with him.
