Lisa Kolovich is an economist in the IMF’s African Department. Previously, she was the team manager for gender research for a joint IMF-UK Department for International Development (DFID) collaboration that focuses on macroeconomic issues in low-income countries. Her research examines how gender budgeting initiatives can address gender inequalities, and she is a contributor to and the editor of the book, Fiscal Policies and Gender Equality. Before joining the IMF, she conducted program evaluations for the U.S. Department of Labor and has been a consultant for the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank.
