Australia’s economy has been resilient, even though growth is forecast to slow to 1¼ percent in 2024, in response to tighter macroeconomic policies and financial conditions. Unemployment remains low, output above potential, and housing prices have picked up after a correction in 2022. Risks to the outlook stem from high and persistent inflation, a more uncertain global environment, and climate-related shocks.  click for more
