Thirty-Ninth Meeting of the IMF Committee on Balance of Payments Statistics

Two distinct meetings were conducted during October 18–20, 2022:

i) Committee only sessions (October 18)—discussed the Outcomes of the Holistic Review of BPM6Update Priorities, draft annotated outlines for selected BPM7 chapters, and the Update on BPM6 Update Phase II; and

ii) Joint sessions of the Committee and the Advisory Expert Group on National Accounts (AEG) (October 19-20)—discussed the GNs of FITT, DITT, DZTT, WSTT, and CMTT, as well as draft annotated outlines for selected joint BPM7/2025 SNA chapters. The joint sessions were aimed at further aligning the BPM and SNA update work, and meant to adopt, in the most efficient way, a concerted approach when discussing research issues of common interest.
