Youth Dialogue: “Where are the Jobs? Generation Y Asks

This year, the Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank featured for the first time a Youth Dialogue on jobs and unemployment as part of its Civil Society Program and Program of Seminars.
The lively, standing-room only event featured panelists IMF Deputy Managing Director Nemat Shafik, Kariuki Gathitu (Zege Technologies, Kenya); Nikola Pandurić (Croatian Youth Network, Croatia); Samar Mezghanni (Activist, Tunisia); and Brent Gensler (President, DefySupply.com, USA). Tsepiso Makwetla of the South African Broadcasting Corporation was moderator.
Audience members included students and faculty from universities in the larger Washington, DC metropolitan area.
