The IMF, jointly with the World Bank and the World Trade Organization, organizes the second IMF/WB/WTO trade workshop. The conference takes place at the WTO headquarters in Geneva on June 5-6, 2013. The joint workshop brings together trade experts from the three institutions to present on-going research projects, discuss current policy issues and identify areas of future collaboration.
The themes of the second IMF/WB/WTO trade workshop are:
- (i) trade, diversification and policy;
- (ii) trade research in international organizations;
- (iii) trade, policy and shocks; and
- (iv) global value chains.
Christine Lagarde (Managing Director, IMF) and Pascal Lamy (Director General, WTO) will address conference participants.
