Japanese Version of the IMF’s Book on Chinese Bond Market Published by JSRI-IMF

July 27, 2020, Tokyo, Japan - The Japanese version of the Future of China’s Bond Market, published by the IMF last year, is now available for purchase from the Japan Securities Research Institute (JSRI).

The publication contains comprehensive analysis of the current situation and policy issues in the different segments of China's bond market, from sovereign and local government bonds to bond futures and the country’s offshore market. Readers can find it useful to understand China's bond market structure, its unique characteristics, and areas where reforms are needed.

Since the launch of the original English version in March 2019, the publication’s excerpt has been translated into various languages, including Japanese, by the IMF, but a full translation was made possible only through collaboration with the JSRI. The thinktank published it on July 20 and has donated it to educational and public libraries.

The Japanese version (A5, 468 pages) can be purchased from the JSRI’s website. The English original and the Japanese excerpt is available at the IMF’s e-library.
