Dennis Botman, Resident Representative to the Philippines: Dennis Botman

IMF Regional Resident Representative for Indonesia and the Philippines

Dennis Botman became the Resident Representative for the Philippines in January 2025 based out of Jakarta where he has held the same role on Indonesia since August 2023. Prior to this, he was the Deputy Division Chief in the European Department Southern II Division and Mission Chief for Greece since June 2020 and the Greece Resident Representative based in Athens (2016-2020). Before joining EUR, he was in the Asia-Pacific Department (APD) as the Deputy Chief on Japan, Head of the Interdepartmental Tail Risk group, and Deputy Senior Personnel Manager and Resident Representative in the Philippines (2009-2012). He worked on various APD countries and G7 economies while in the Fiscal Affairs Department (2004-2009) where he also did extensive research developing and applying macro-fiscal DSGE models. He joined the Fund’s Economist Program in 2002 with assignments in APD and the Research Department.
