Target Audience
Officials interested in learning more about how to effectively manage SOE fiscal risks by enhancing SOE Governance, monitoring reporting and transparency. The target audience to be officials from across the Ministry of Finance including PublicEnterprises Monitoring and Fiscal Affairs Department and Treasury and Public Accounting Division. Relevant officials from key SOEs may also be invited as per the discretion of the Ministry of Finance.
Qualifications
Staff from Maldives entities involved in state owned enterprises within the Ministry of Finance, other ministries, government organizations, and State Owned Enterprises, as identified by Ministry of Finance.
Course Description
This virtual course, presented by Fiscal Affairs Department, SARTTAC is aimed at strengthening SOE Governance, Reporting, and Risk Management in the Maldives. It will cover three broad areas
1. SOE governance
2. SOE reporting and transparency
3.SOE analysis and monitoring, including an introduction and example of the IMF SOE health check tool.
Course Objectives
The objective will be assist the Maldivian authorities to better manage, monitor, and report on State Owned Enterprises.
