Sonali Das is a deputy division chief in the IMF’s Strategy, Policy, and Review Department, where she contributes to surveillance priorities. Previously, she worked in the IMF’s Research Department, contributing to the World Economic Outlook, and in the Asia and Pacific Department, where she was the senior desk for China and a desk economist on the India, Nepal, and Fiji teams. Her research interests include monetary policy, investment, and financial stability. She holds a PhD in economics from Cornell University.
