Marc Dobler

Marc Dobler is a division chief in the Monetary and Capital Markets department of the International Monetary Fund, responsible for dealing with, and preparing for, financial crises. He is an expert in bank restructuring and resolution and in deposit insurance. He represents the IMF on the FSB’s Resolution Steering Group. Marc helped design and implement key aspects of the bank resolution regime in the UK and has hands-on experience of dealing with failed deposit-takers. He has a master’s in development economics from Warwick University and has co-authored papers on bank resolution and funding frameworks, systemic financial crises, bail-in powers, and emergency liquidity assistance.
