Visitor Access

Visitors to IMF headquarters must present a photo identification and go through security screening to receive a guest pass. Visitors will be escorted by IMF staff while in the building. Please note that IMF Headquarters consists of two buildings, HQ1 and HQ2, with separate visitors' entrances described below:

Headquarters 1 Building (HQ1) Access through: IMF Visitor's Center (white tent) 720 19th Street, N.W. Washington, DC 20431 Outside working hours please enter through the 700 19th Street Entrance

Headquarters 2 Building (HQ2) Access through: Visitor Center 1900 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W. Washington, DC 20431 Outside working hours please enter through the main HQ2 19th Street entrance

World Bank staff with badges may enter the IMF freely during business hours, but may not escort other visitors.
