imf seminars event

DAY: Thursday
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
LOCATION: George Washington University, Jack Morton Auditorium
Overview
It is ironic that after years working to establish a reputation for guaranteeing low and stable inflation, the world’s central banks are now facing an increasing challenge in getting inflation to rise back to their longer-term goals. The seminar would bring together policymakers and monetary policy experts to discuss the domestic and global factors working against their policy goals (despite unprecedented monetary stimulus), the prospects and tools to achieve targets in the months and years ahead, and the implications for movements in global currencies. The Elusive Pursuit of Inflation
